What is Lymphedema?

Lymphedema is an accumulation of fluid in the superficial tissues, most commonly present in arms, legs, head, neck, breasts and abdomen. It is a common condition; if left untreated, this condition could have serious side effects for the patient. Secondary lymphedema can be caused by surgery, radiation, trauma or infection. For patients suffering from any of these conditions, treatment options may include manual lymph drainage and complete decongestive physiotheraphy.

Referral Process

All patients will require a physician's written prescription for Lymphatic Therapy. You may then call during regular office hours to schedule appointments.
