Woman's Hospital recently hosted Peace, Love and Wishes, an event benefiting the Mississippi Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event took place on Friday, November 7, in the Sparkman Auditorium of the Ag Museum. Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monsters was the featured entertainment and 70s attire was encouraged.
“At Woman’s Hospital, we deliver healthy babies every day,” said Jeanne Fortenberry, Chief Nursing Officer of Woman’s Hospital. “Unfortunately, not all babies grow up to live healthy, full lives. In Mississippi, there are over 200 children with life-threatening conditions. Last year’s event enabled Woman’s Hospital employees to grant three wishes. This year, with the Peace, Love and Wishes event, we are hoping to grant even more wishes.”
Woman’s Hospital exceeded the fundraising goal and raised $15,069.64 for the Mississippi Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Thank you to everyone that helped us to share the power of a wish.
