Jeffrey Vernon,
Administrative Assistant
Jeffrey Vernon proudly serves as the Assistant Administrator of River Oaks Hospital. He began volunteering as a hospital patient transporter at the age of 16. After giving over six hundred hours of volunteer service on Saturdays during high school at both North Fulton Regional Hospital and Wesley Woods Geriatric Center in Atlanta, he received a volunteer scholarship and completed undergraduate studies at North Georgia College and State University where he held various leadership positions and graduated with honors. Jeffrey gained a vision to someday lead a hospital organization.
Vernon has attended Georgia State University’s Institute of Health Administration for the past two years and has completed the Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Administration. Jeffrey served as an administrative resident in 2007 at Barrow Regional Medical Center in Winder, GA, owned by Health Management Associates in Naples, Florida. He demonstrates a commitment to impeccable customer service, including patients, physicians and employees, and he applies his leadership skills and abilities gained during his MBA/MHA graduate studies and years of service as a patient care technician.
Jeffrey is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Recently, he received the GAHE Student of the Year Award and the R.C. Williams Award for outstanding leadership at Georgia State University. Jeffrey enjoys relaxing on Barnett Reservoir and at the beach, working out, singing bass in the church choir, and playing the piano. Jeffrey recently recorded and produced a solo piano CD in Nashville in memory of his grandmother, a leader in business and life
