Cindy L. Dishongh

Cindy L. Dishongh, a Grenada native with 28 years of healthcare experience, holds a Master of Health Science degree from Mississippi College. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Dishongh is active in numerous health related organizations, including serving as a member of the University of Mississippi School of Health Related Professions 2008-2009 Alumni Board of Directors. She has served as an Executive Board member of the Friends of the Rowland Medical Library, and Board member of the Central MS Medical Society Alliance and the United Way of the Jackson area. In addition, she has served on Boards of MS Information and Quality Healthcare, the Southeastern HIM Association, and as President of the MS Health Information Management Association, where she received the Distinguished Member award. Ms. Dishongh is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jackson, after serving as Chairman of the Health Focus Teams, the Public School Grants Research Project, and co-Chair of Leadership Planning. She has served on the JLJ Arts & Education Committee, Community Council, Provisional Training Team, Bargain Boutique Steering Committee and Advisory Planning Council.
She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a 2006 Rankin Chamber of Commerce Leadership graduate. Ms. Dishongh was named a Top 10 Finalist by the MS Business Journal from the State’s Top 50 Leading Business Women for 2007. Cindy and her husband, Dr. Randy Dishongh, live in the Reservoir area of Rankin County.
